Because some Minnesota Health Action Group members belong to the National Business Group on Health (NBGH), The Action Group watches for resources NBGH develops that are available to non-members, as well as members. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) and NBGH are developing An Employer’s Guide to Cancer Treatment & Prevention (The Guide). The full guide will be developed over three years. The guide is a comprehensive set of tools designed to help benefit professionals deal effectively with the many issues about cancer that arise in the workplace. The Practice Recommendations in the guide represent NCCN’s evidence-based clinical guidelines presented through the lens of employer-sponsored health care benefits, programs and practices. The Action Group hosted a meeting in 2012 where a representative from NCCN previewed the Guide for our members. The presentation from that meeting can be accessed by Minnesota Health Action Group members here.
