Taking Action Express: Thanksgiving Greetings and News from The Action Group…

NOVEMBER 22, 2016

Thanksgiving Greetings from the Action Group!

During this holiday season, I am particularly thankful for members, advisors and friends of The Action Group. Together, we have tackled some of the most challenging health care benefits issues facing employers today, and taken action steps to continuously improve the health and economic vitality of our Minnesota communities, and beyond.

Whether it’s been identifying and driving financial waste from the system, improving optimal care for patients with certain conditions, or surveying and convening key stakeholders for collaboration on a wide range of topics, I’m always grateful for the “can-do” attitude of our colleagues. We are making an important and healthy difference in the lives of those we serve.

As you are gathering with family and friends this holiday season, I encourage you to carve out time to start a conversation about the importance of advance care planning. The next article in this newsletter offers some tips and resources that can be used at your organization, or with your own loved ones.

I would also like to extend a special invitation to members, and guests who are considering membership, to join us for our December 15, 2016, meeting: Looking Back with Our Eyes on the Future. If you are already a member and have not been to a meeting in awhile, this is a great chance to learn about opportunities to reengage with us. If you are considering membership, you will learn how we are doing together what no single person or organization can do alone. To become a member, please contact Sue Jesseman (sjesseman@mnhealthactiongroup.org).

I hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, and look forward to seeing you at our December meeting!

Warm regards,

Carolyn Pare, President and CEO
