The Weekly Buzz: Total Joint Replacement Employer Purchaser’s Guide Now Available
At its July 16 member meeting, The Action Group released its Purchaser’s Guide for Total Joint Replacement (TJR). The Guide addresses the challenges purchasers face as they collaborate with one another to reduce costs and improve outcomes in the face of explosive growth in TJR surgery. In addition to increasing volume, facility costs are high and variable, there is a lack of transparency in cost and quality, and patients and their caregivers are often physically and emotionally unprepared for recovery complexities, among other things.
Celebrating Minnesota Health Care Clinics!
The Action Group and the MNBTE Champions of Change (participating purchasers) will be hosting a reception on July 29 to recognize clinics that qualified for incentive payments from MNBTE and the State of Minnesota Quality Incentive Payment System. Champions of Change will be providing more than $700,000 in performance incentives —- the highest annual amount since the program was implemented. More clinics are being rewarded in the categories of achievement and improvement this year in each of the three conditions included in the program. We show providers what matters by rewarding their commitment to excellence.
